Hikes

An hour’s walk from our lodging along a footpath takes you across the limestone plateaus of the “Causse”. You will discover Rocamadour and its canyon of amazing rock formations.

There are many footpaths which can be used for walking, biking or horse riding.The trails invite you to discover the natural beauty of our region: canyons, rivers, dolmen, fountains and stone walls.

Canoeing

Made famous by the novelist Christian Signol, the “River Hope”, or Dordogne River here, aligns with majestic landscapes and a unique succession of powerful fortresses which have watched over the peace of a valley rich in history, ecosystem and traditions for almost a millennium.

Routes are suitable for everyone (from five years old) and completely safe for memorable experiences with family or friends!

Golf

At 25 km, the Montal golf course (9 holes) begins gently in a rich alluvial plain, near the Renaissance castle which gave it its name. Its terraced fairways offer magnificent panoramas of the surrounding villages and castles.

Souillac golf course is at the same distance, where golfers of all levels meet year round on a beautiful 18-holes course.

Horse Riding

Knowing and savoring the Quercy region on horseback is a way of discovering our rich terrain, thanks to horse rides of all levels.

Whether you are a beginning, occasional or experienced rider, you will have the choice among several riding stables located not far from the Domaine de la Rhue, offering nature outings for an afternoon, a day or sometimes more.

Become an explorer and live the incredible underground adventure of the Gouffre de Padirac, like Edouard-Alfred Martel during his first descent in what was then called, “Trou du diable” in 1889 …
